Terms and Conditions for Filipinay Matchmaker

Filipinay Matchmaker is a private matchmaking service designed to connect individuals seeking genuine, serious relationships with Filipina women.

By registering for and using Filipinay Matchmaker services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. By submitting payment, you enter into a binding agreement with the company.

Filipinay Matchmaker operates as a discretionary matchmaking service and does not guarantee attraction, chemistry, communication, or relationship outcomes.

  1. Scope of Service

Filipinay Matchmaker provides:

  • Screening and consultation
  • Match introductions
  • Matchmaking support within the limits of the selected package

The service facilitates introductions only. Filipinay Matchmaker cannot and does not compel interest, communication, meetings, or relationship progression between individuals.

 

  1. Payment Policy – No Refunds After Payment

Once payment is received, no refunds will be issued, except as expressly stated in the Initial Consideration Period below.

This policy is strictly enforced to prevent misuse of the service, access to information without commitment, or abuse of the matchmaking process.

Once a consultation (phone or video) has occurred or matchmaking efforts have begun, Filipinay Matchmaker reserves the right to deny any refund

  1. Initial 3–5 Banking Days Consideration Period (BPCPA Compliance)

In compliance with the British Columbia Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act (BPCPA), clients have three (3) to five (5) banking days from payment processing to reconsider participation.

 

  • Withdrawal requests made within this period may receive a 50% refund
  • The remaining 50% is retained as a non-refundable administrative and processing fee
  • Requests must be submitted in writing
  • Requests submitted after this period are not eligible for any refund

Approved refunds will be processed within fourteen (14) days.

  1. Subscription Duration & Completion

Each subscription is valid for a maximum period of twelve (12) months from the subscription start date and includes a finite number of matches, as defined by the selected package (typically three (3) to four (4) matches).

Subscription is considered completed and concluded when either of the following occurs, whichever comes first:

  • The client has received all completed matches included in their package; or
  • Twelve (12) months have elapsed from the subscription start date

Once a subscription is completed:

  • No additional matches are owed
  • Services conclude automatically
  • Unused matches or time are forfeited
  • Fees paid are non-refundable

Meeting a match, communicating, or traveling does not pause, extend, or reset a subscription unless expressly agreed to in writing by Filipinay Matchmaker.

  1. What Counts as a Completed Match

A match is considered completed once Filipinay Matchmaker has fulfilled its obligation to facilitate an introduction in good faith.

A completed match includes, but is not limited to, the following situations:

  • Both parties are introduced and given the opportunity to communicate
  • One party decides not to proceed
  • Communication becomes inactive or ends naturally
  • A match ends due to incompatibility, discomfort, or boundary concerns
  • A call, video chat, or in-person meeting occurs (meeting is not required)
  • A completed match does not guarantee attraction, chemistry, interest, or continuation.

The following do not invalidate a completed match:

  • Lack of attraction or chemistry
  • Change of mind
  • Different expectations discovered later
  • Hurt feelings or disappointment

These outcomes are part of normal dating and do not constitute service failure.

  1. Code of Conduct & Communication Standards

All participants are expected to engage respectfully, honestly, and in good faith with the matchmaker and all matched individuals.

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Disrespectful, abusive, harassing, or hostile communication
  • Controlling, coercive, manipulative, or intimidating behavior
  • Pressuring for rapid commitment, marriage, or exclusivity
  • Repeated blame toward the matchmaker or matched individuals
  • Dishonesty or misrepresentation of identity, intent, or circumstances

Communication Expectations

Participants must:

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully
  • Respond within a reasonable timeframe
  • Inform the matchmaker if they wish to disengage or pause

Repeated non-participation, prolonged silence, or disruptive communication may result in a match being closed or service termination.

  1. 7. Financial Safety Policy

For the safety and protection of all participants:

Giving or receiving money, financial assistance, allowances, gifts of significant monetary value, or financial commitments with someone newly introduced through the service is strictly prohibited.

 

This includes:

  • Sending or requesting money
  • Paying personal expenses
  • Offering financial support early in a connection
  • Covering travel or accommodation costs prematurely

Violation of this policy results in immediate and automatic removal from the service without refund.
Exception

Once two individuals are in a mutually acknowledged, established romantic relationship, financial arrangements become a personal decision and are no longer governed by this policy.

Filipinay Matchmaker does not mediate or assume responsibility for financial decisions between individuals in an established relationship.

  1. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service

Filipinay Matchmaker reserves the right, in its sole and reasonable discretion, to refuse, suspend, or terminate services at any time if a client violates these Terms, the Code of Conduct, or engages in behavior that compromises the integrity, safety, or ethical standards of the service.

Termination decisions are final and non-negotiable.

Fees paid remain non-refundable.

  1. Legal Compliance & Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and falls under the jurisdiction of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act (BPCPA) and applicable consumer protection laws.

Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of British Columbia.

  1. Amendments & Updates

Filipinay Matchmaker reserves the right to amend, update, or terminate these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
